Patrick Harr joins Nirvanix from Enterprise Partners Venture Capital, where he served as entrepreneur-in-residence focusing on content, storage, and media services investments. His prior leadership roles include president and CEO of Preventsys Inc., a security risk and compliance management firm that was acquired by McAfee in 2006, and Vice President of the $300M Enterprise Products Group at McDATA Corp., an enterprise storage networking solutions company. Harr joined McDATA through the acquisition of Sanera Systems, a storage networking startup, where he ran marketing, business development and sales. Prior to Sanera, Harr ran worldwide marketing at CacheFlow and was the GM of Novell’s Internet and Security Services Group. Mr. Harr received a Masters in Business Administration degree in marketing and entrepreneurial studies from the University of Maryland and his B.A. from Tulane in political economy and Russian.
Geoff Tudor most recently served as CEO of Advent Networks, Inc. At Advent, he created the cable industry’s first router capable of delivering broadband to customers at dedicated speeds of 40 Mbps. In 2000, Geoff co-founded Tellaire Corp. to commercialize free space optic technologies and deliver wireless Gigabit Ethernet. MRV Communications (NASDAQ:MRVC) acquired the company’s networks. Mr. Tudor also co-founded GNS Technologies, where he co-wrote Reflex Backup, the first real-time backup application for Windows. Reflex was acquired by Symantec Corporation (NASDAQ: SYMC). Geoff was recognized by Discover Magazine as one of the nation’s leading innovators in technology and was nominated in 2003 for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Geoff holds an M.B.A. from the University of Texas and a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University.
Edgard Capdevielle joins Nirvanix from Brocade Communications’ Emerging Businesses unit responsible for entering the HBA market, which doubled Brocade’s addressable market. He joined Brocade through the acquisition of McDATA Corporation, where he led the Advanced Products Group responsible for expanding revenue in new businesses. As Sr. Director of Product Management, he established and managed OEM relationships with Riverbed, FalconStor, and LSI’s StoreAge. Prior to McDATA, Capdevielle worked with the founders of Orbital Data (acquired by Citrix Systems), was a Principal at Outlook Ventures, a $200M San Francisco based VC firm, and served as Engagement Manager with Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice (now Cap Gemini). He received a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University.
Dan Havens brings over 18 years of experience in creating new and successful sales organizations, as well as transforming existing teams into world class operations. Prior Nirvanix, he held the position of VP of Sales for ClearApp, a J2EE composite application management company specializing in enterprise application performance. He joined the company in its infancy and helped drive the company to record growth and recognition by Gartner as their 2007 Cool Vendor in the APM space. Mr. Havens became a Senior Director for BEA Systems in 2001 (NASDAQ: BEAS) where he rapidly developed his US and Canadian units into the leading growth engine within the corporation. BEA Systems is widely recognized as the fastest software company to reach $1 billion in revenues and is the worldwide leader in Java infrastructure software. Prior to BEA, Mr. Havens was Senior Director and Principal for MicroStrategy, Inc. (NASDAQ: MSTR) where during his 5-year tenure he helped MictroStrategy rise from start-up to a publicly traded company. Mr. Havens began his career as a Product Manager and Public Speaker for the Boeing Commercial Aircraft Group and holds a BS in Engineering from Western Washington University.
Major Horton brings over 20 years of finance and operations leadership experience to Nirvanix. Horton joins Nirvanix with deep experience from information technology companies, most recently as the SVP – CFO & Treasurer for Rackspace Managed Hosting, as well as serving as the VP of Finance & Segment Controller for Dell’s Enterprise Customer Segment, and the VP & General Manager of the Commercial Financing Group at Dell Financial Services. Prior to Dell, Horton was the Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis for AlliedSignal and he spent his early career with General Motors and Deloitte & Touché. Horton holds a Master of Science in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University.
Michael Landesman brings more than 20 years of infrastructure and data center management expertise to Nirvanix. For the past decade, he has held senior leadership roles overseeing data center operations for Exodus Communications, Cable & Wireless, Savvis and Rackspace Managed Hosting. While with Exodus Communications, Landesman developed the Southern California operations, supporting over 650 hosting customers and 300,000 square feet of Tier III data center space before becoming the VP of Microsoft Services, supporting the collocation needs for Hotmail, MSNBC, MSN and Microsoft Live. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems from the University of Redlands.
Patrick Ritto is a 20-year veteran of the streaming media, storage, and networking industries. He joins Nirvanix from Internap Network Services where he was Vice President of CDN Engineering and QA. Prior to Internap, Ritto was CTO of VitalStream, Inc. where he led product engineering, network operations, data center operations, IT and customer support. At VitalStream, Ritto oversaw the international expansion of the content delivery network and scaled the platform to meet the rapidly escalating demands of user-generated content and online media monetization. Prior to VitalStream, Ritto was Director of Software Engineering at Overland Storage, Inc. leading all software and firmware development for Overland’s disk-based and tape-based backup appliances. Ritto holds both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
