The Nirvanix CloudNAS for Windows is a virtual drive mount that allows you to view the Nirvanix SDN as a networked CIFS server. Once installed any application or user on the network can map Nirvanix as a drive. Depending on the settings all users can share the same drive or have their own individual drive. The Windows version includes:

  • Drag & Drop data backup and restore
  • Domain controller support for access control
  • Share and private modes
  • Storage and access management, on a master account or per user basis, via the Nirvanix Management Portal (Web base UI)

System Requirements:

Server-class hardware with minimum 2 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, and 50 MB free disk space recommended.

Windows 2003 or Windows XP (32-bit only)

.NET 2.0 Framework (please visit Microsoft’s site to get the installation package.)

The Nirvanix CloudNAS for Linux is a virtual drive mount that can be mounted via CIFS, NFS or FTP. Once installed any application or user on the network can access a Nirvanix mapped drive. After mapping, system administrators can apply standard file, directory or access permissions.
